Surveyor General stated that if 34 beds were not found sufficient, additional accommodation

could be hereafter provided for

16 more beds by putting

The wording of

raises a

wider question than was probably intended. The Hospital

room provided

by the conversion of the old Look Hospital will not be sufficient for the wants of the Colony if the Jung Wa Hospital is closed. But

whilst this institution remains open there in preferense

and the Chinese.
